Terms of Website Use

These terms of use (together with the documents referred to in them) set out the terms on which you may make use of our website www.kiddo.edu.au (“our site”), whether as a guest or a registered user.

Use of our site includes accessing, browsing, or registering to use our site.

All free trial and registered users must also agree to the KIDDO User Agreement before accessing the platform services.

Please read these terms carefully before using our site, as they apply to your use of the website. We recommend that you print a copy for future reference.

By using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our site.

KIDDO Privacy Policy
This sets out how personal information is collected, used and handled when you access or use the KIDDO website or platform.

KIDDO User Agreement
This sets out the terms governing access to and use of the KIDDO platform. Users must agree to the User Agreement before registering for a free trial or subscription.

This page lists third-party service providers engaged to support delivery of the KIDDO platform.

Changes to Our Site

We may update the site from time to time and may change content at any time.

Although we make reasonable efforts to keep information up to date, content on our site may occasionally be out of date and we are under no obligation to update it.

We do not guarantee that the site or any content on it will be free from errors or omissions.

 

Accessing Our Site

We do not guarantee that our site will always be available or uninterrupted.

Access to our site is provided on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of the site without notice.

We will not be liable if our site is unavailable for any period of time.

You are responsible for:

• making all arrangements necessary to access the site
• ensuring persons who access the site through your internet connection comply with these terms.

 

Your Account and Password

If you are provided with a user identification code, password or other security information, you must treat this information as confidential.

You must not disclose it to any third party.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and must notify KIDDO promptly if they believe their account has been compromised.

We may disable any user identification code or password if we reasonably believe you have failed to comply with these terms.

Participation in KIDDO Activities and Assessment

It is your responsibility to assess the suitability of a participant to participate in KIDDO activities based on individual circumstances.

If you have any doubts regarding participation, you should seek advice from a qualified medical practitioner before undertaking activities.

Personal information relating to you or participants will be handled in accordance with the KIDDO Privacy Policy and User Agreement.

For further information about how data is protected, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

 

Paid Accounts

This clause applies only if you select an account type that requires payment.

Access to the KIDDO platform is provided for a defined Subscription Period.

Payment for the Subscription Period is charged at the time of registration or renewal.

At the end of the Subscription Period, access to the paid features of the platform will expire unless the Organisation chooses to renew its licence.

Renewal requires the Organisation to actively opt in and provide a valid payment method. Subscriptions do not automatically renew.

Where a licence is not renewed, the Organisation's account will move to an inactive status in accordance with the data retention and deletion processes described in the KIDDO Privacy Policy.

 

Renewal of Subscription

Subscriptions do not automatically renew.

At the end of the current Subscription Period, the Organisation may choose to renew its licence by completing the renewal process and submitting payment for the next Subscription Period.

If the Organisation does not renew its licence, access to paid platform features will expire at the end of the Subscription Period.

Data associated with the Organisation will be handled in accordance with the retention and deletion provisions set out in the KIDDO Privacy Policy.

 

Default

If your payment method is declined, we may suspend or limit access to the services until outstanding amounts are paid.

 

Changes in Pricing

We may vary subscription prices from time to time.

Where you hold a paid account, we will provide 30 days notice of any price change. Price changes apply only to future billing periods.

Any updated pricing will apply to future subscription purchases or renewals. Prices are accepted by the Organisation at the time they elect to renew their subscription.

 

Software and Platform Access

You agree to use the software only as intended.

Use of the software is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages resulting from your use of the platform.

We may modify or update the software at any time.

 

Software Hosting and Infrastructure

The KIDDO platform is hosted on managed cloud infrastructure operated by third-party service providers engaged by UWA.

These providers support system availability, data storage, and infrastructure security.

Service Availability

From time to time access to the platform may be interrupted due to maintenance, upgrades or technical issues.

We will use reasonable efforts to restore access as quickly as possible but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

 

Support and Maintenance

Support and maintenance services are provided primarily via email and other communication channels determined by UWA.

 

Data Export and Termination

If your account is cancelled or terminated, access to the software will cease.

Organisations are responsible for exporting any data they wish to retain prior to requesting deletion or before the end of the applicable data retention period described in the KIDDO Privacy Policy.

 

Intellectual Property Rights

The KIDDO platform, including the website, software, design, text, graphics, logos and other materials published on the site, are owned by or licensed to The University of Western Australia and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may download or print content from the website for educational, teaching and classroom use within your organisation, provided that:

• the materials are not modified;
• KIDDO and The University of Western Australia are acknowledged as the source; and
• the materials are not used for commercial purposes without permission.

Except as permitted above, you must not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any materials on the site without prior written permission.

User-generated data and information entered into the KIDDO platform remain the property of the relevant user or organisation, as described in the KIDDO User Agreement. KIDDO does not claim ownership of educator or student data submitted through the platform.

 

No Reliance on Information

The content on our site is provided for general information only.

It is not intended to replace professional advice.

You should obtain professional or specialist advice before relying on information on the site.

 

Viruses

We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

You are responsible for configuring your own information technology and using appropriate virus protection software.

You must not introduce malicious software or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content of those websites.

 

Applicable Law
